Divorce and Family Law
Karp & Weiss has a national reputation in domestic relations matters. We represent both husbands and wives and handle complex divorce cases involving substantial assets. We are able to use our experience in business matters to negotiate fair and appropriate division of community business and real estate assets, including valuations of businesses, pension and profit-sharing plans, and stock options. We also have developed associations with expert witnesses and consultants who are prepared to testify when appropriate.
Our domestic relations practice incorporates all phases of family law, including antenuptial (prenuptial) agreements and child custody and support issues.
Complex domestic litigation often requires psychological and accounting consultants. Our team consists of legal counsel selected as one of the BEST LAWYERS in AMERICA, the only domestic relations attorney in the state of Arizona to be chosen as a diplomate of the American College of Family Trial Lawyers and a certified family law specialist. In addition, we have an on site psychologist (Dr. Cheryl L. Karp) and a Certified Public Accountant (Mary Clements).
We also have substantial experience in mediation, arbitration, and other alternative dispute resolutions.
