Ben is a Certified Specialist in Estate & Trust Law by the State Bar of Arizona and a Certified Elder Law Attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation. He joined Bogutz & Gordon, P.C. in 1999, after having practiced with a Tucson estate planning firm since 1994. He also serves on the State Bar of Arizona Probate & Trust Section Executive Council. Ben earned a B.S. in Commerce at the University of Virginia McIntire School of Commerce and earned his J.D. at the University of Arizona College of Law (Magna Cum Laude), where he was an Editor for the Arizona Law Review. He is a Member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Rotary Club of Tucson, and the Pima County Bar Association. He writes and lectures frequently and is active in numerous community organizations including serving on the Board of Goodwill Industries. Ben and his wife, Dena, a CPA, have traveled extensively to all seven continents, and their first child, Josephine, was born on July 1, 2009.
